, Balham Bowls Club
Only a stone’s throw from Balham Station, situated just off the hustle and bustle of Balham High Road, Balham Bowls Club is a stunning public house at the heart of the Balham community. Since being taken under the wing of Antic London, this once highly respected clubhouse faithfully retains a large amount of its original décor, sporting memorabilia and quirky trinkets.
Honouring its reputation as a social hotspot, BBC (as it is known to the locals), is a warren of spacious rooms and cosy hangouts. Boasting a stunning restaurant, two bars, three grand hire spaces and beer garden at the rear, the BBC is perfect for every social occasion. The bar offers a wide variety of spirits, rotational wines, bottled beers and ciders. With our four real ales hand pumps serving Cask Marque certified local and regional ales, expect to be kept on your toes.
Our kitchen offers a snacking Bar Menu throughout the pub and sit-down Dining Menu, serving fresh seasonal British pub fare. Sunday’s are very much a family occasion. Round up the kids and the family pooch for a Sunday roast and a board game. Children allowed until 9pm and dogs allowed everywhere except the restaurant.
Throughout the week we offer a diverse programme of events suitable for all ages and interests. These include a quiz night every Tuesday, craft & vintage fairs, classes, community meetings and many more. To keep up to date with all our goings on, please visit our ‘What’s On’ page or ask one of our friendly team.
With our stunning array of hire rooms and cosy spaces, we accommodate for weddings, party bookings and socials, however big or small. For more details please visit ‘Venue Hire’.

(The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
