The Royal Albert

We are a charming and beautiful Victorian freehouse located on the borders of New Cross and Deptford, focussed on friendly service, quality beer and honest food.
We pride ourselves on our eight real ale and cider taps, but like to mix it up as well with guest keg and bottled beers.  We make sure that London brewers feature heavily on both tap and bottle.
Unfussy pub food from our open kitchen is the order of the day, with a seasonal menu that changes weekly.
Our décor is something else we’re particularly proud of.  With original Victorian etched glassed windows and mirrors and a large skylight to the rear, we get plenty of beautiful natural light on the inside.  Our front patio also seats 40 for those looking for sunshine on the outside.
If it’s activities you want, look no further.  A bar billiards table is available (as is instruction, should you require!).  We’ve got DJs late on a Friday night and live music provided by Good Evening Arts on Sunday evenings, plus a fantastic quiz every Monday.
Children are welcomed (we’ve got a license to host them until 8pm), as are dogs (in no particular order).
The Royal Albert is a labour of love and we’re proud to be New Cross’ friendly location.

(The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
